Most posts here on the Web Talent blog are focused on bringing you up-to-date information and advice on the latest SEO strategies, analytics tools, and social platforms—makes sense for a digital marketing agency, right? But today we are switching things up a bit and addressing local business professionals in Lancaster County. You have probably heard that this Thursday, October 9th is the Lancaster Chamber Business Expo at the Lancaster County Convention Center. The Expo runs from 9am to 4pm and is free to everyone who presents their business card. This year we are expecting 1,500 attendees and 200 exhibiting booths! SPOILER ALERT: the Web Talent team will be there in all our orange and blue glory. This year’s expo will include several professional development sessions, a launch party, and more. Here are just a few of the reasons we hope you join us for the 2014 Lancaster Chamber Business Expo.

Swag - stuff we all get

Need we say more? With 200 booths filling the Convention Center, there is sure to be some pretty sweet freebies floating around. And who doesn’t like freebies? Of course, there is much more than swag to be had…rumor has it that a few Web Talent peeps will be presenting some helpful tips about social media in the workplace.

Networking and Professional Development

The Business Expo provides a fantastic opportunity to meet other local men and women involved in a variety of industries throughout Lancaster County. Get introduced to new people, exchange business cards, and—most importantly—share ideas. The Expo offers an environment that encourages learning and networking with people in a wide range of verticals. After all, it’s not always what you know but who you know (we’re pretty sure the person who coined that phrase attended the Lancaster Business Expo).

In addition to building your professional network at the Expo, you will also have the opportunity to participate in three professional development sessions: a Legislative Issues Forum and sessions on “Creating a Business Plan” as well as “Using Social Media in the Workplace,” presented by the Web Talent online PR team. Don’t miss this chance to expand your knowledge of the ever-changing world of social media. We would love to brainstorm new strategies with you or answer any questions you may have about your business’s social media strategy. For more information, please visit the Chamber’s presentation page.
