Video is a crucial component to the web and should be a part of your marketing strategy. We believe that every business could benefit from using video, whether through creative television ads, online video testimonials, product overviews, or tutorials. Relevant videos will often display on the search engine results page and are a quick way to establish your business as an authority in your industry, increase conversions, and create a memorable connection with your audience.
Getting Started with Video
A lot of work goes into creating a successful video, and the team at Web Talent Marketing has years of experience conceptualizing and creating videos. We’ve made quick testimonial videos all the way to 4K scripted pieces with professional actors. Regardless of the scope of your project, we follow the same steps:
- Conceptualizing: Before the tripods are set up or the lights are switched on, we work with you to create an idea for your video. What do you hope to accomplish? What will viewers learn from your video? We will help you create and write an idea for your video that shares your message.
- Planning: Project briefs, scripts, and storyboards are important pieces of every video projects. Prior to shooting, we create a rough, animated storyboard to make sure our vision is in line with yours. After that, we are able to schedule the production, hire on-screen talent, and prepare for the day of the shoot.
- Executing: Now the fun begins! When the script and storyboards are approved, we shoot the video, paying careful attention to the initial idea. The storyboard and animatic act as a guide for us to follow, staying true to the original vision.
- Finalizing: In the finalizing stage of a project, we are able to edit the piece, add music, logos, and text. This is where everything comes together. We provide rough edits for your approval and final versions for TV or the web.
Example Video Projects
Project Example: Testimonial Video
Talking head videos are effective ways to connect with your users, earn trust, and quickly convey information. For Lancaster Dollars for Higher Learning, our goal was to encourage high school students to apply for interest-free loans. The best way to do that was to feature a high school student who had used them successfully and had a positive experience to share. While testimonial videos require a smaller crew, less planning time, and are more affordable than scripted pieces, they can be very effective for the right client.
Project Example: Television Commercial
Web Talent Marketing worked with OSS Health to concept and create a TV commercial to run during the Summer Olympics. After pitching several ideas, we decided to create a video showcasing “athletes” attempting complicated sports moves with their inner monologues playing moments before injury. The result was effective, funny, and a little painful to watch! This video was used on TV, Facebook, and as pre-roll ads for YouTube videos. This is an example of a larger scale, scripted project. Talent was acquired through a casting agency, voice over talent was auditioned and secured, a stunt coordinator was on set, and a full video production team was hired to execute and edit our vision.
