Web Talent is Animal-Friendly!

One of the greatest benefits of being a privately-owned and owner-operated business is that we get to make up our own rules. We eat when we want, we wear what we want, and we get to bring our closest friends to work with us every day!

"freeze-dried tubifex worms... nommmmm"

Recently we have been growing our in-office relationship with nature by adding some slippery somethings that we float in water and feed compressed freeze-dried organic matter – and they love it!

That's a shark's butt. A very tiny shark's butt.

Now, of course we still love and adore the animals we already had. Who could forget such classics as Simon & Garfunkel? Well, it turns out Simon is a girl. Not Paul Simon, although I’m not saying he ISN’T a girl, I am just legally obligated to be vague on that topic so as to avoid a lawsuit after which I will lose my job. I am saying that Simon the half-moon betta fish, previously thought to be of the male gender, is of the feminine persuasion. This has caused mass hysteria in the office, resulting in an overall lack of faith in humanity (Brent) and a strong case of stress-induced hives (Ray). Simon will from this day forward be known as Simone.

I'm not a dude!

Garfunkel, though the clearly under-appreciated artist in the group, has no comment.

Control your emotions.

Never to be outdone (by anyone), the office dogs tend to step up their A-game when a client or potential interview is in the office.

I can haz sitelinks?

Becker, like all good ninjas (and bad flatulence) is silent, but deadly! His weapon of choice?

SNUGGLES!

We support our friendly local animals and hope you all get to enjoy the unique marketing perspective that pets bring to our business!

Top 5 Give Aways from SMX 2011 (with photos)

  1. I Love SEO Cup from Cavario
The orange, BPA free plastic cup from Cavario are awesome. They mimic the look and feel of a beverage container normally found a fast food joint or coffee shop. It’s washable and 100% cool.
    –
  2. Black on Black Raven T-shirt
Raven Tools were handing out stylish black on black t-shirts with their new logo. I’m wearing mine right now.
  3. SMX Backpack
I registered for the SMX Boot Camp and received a complimentary back pack with the SMX 2011 logo. This was a great way to carry my laptop and snag goodies from vendors.
    –
  4. Stickers from Acquiso
The Acquiso team had black stickers (“Search Hard, Display Harder”) and pink stickers (“M”MMM Datalicious”) available at their booth. Employees were wearing t-shirts that matched the stickers, based on their gender. I was hoping to see one of the Acquiso guys wearing a small pink t-shirt but this did not happen.
    –
  5. SMX SEO Infographic
Not sure if everyone received this, but I was handed a sweet poster size infographic related to SEO. It’s looks like a periodic table and covers the basic aspects of search engine optimization.

A big thanks goes to SMX vendors that helped fill my backpack full of promotional treats. I would also like to thank Raven Tools for taking our team out to dinner after the conference.

We just want to give a special thanks to everyone who came out to play this weekend at the First Annual Soccer Tournament. It was truly a beautiful weekend for spending time outside, playing soccer, raising contributions for the American Heart Association, and getting to know all of the enthusiastic participants. With the tournament being such a success, we know that our next annual event will be even better. Thanks for the support everyone!

Merger places Web Talent Marketing at forefront of Internet marketing in Lancaster Axis Creative Group, WebTalentSEO combine to form full-service digital marketing agency

web-talent-axis-merger

Lancaster, Pa. —On a mission to help companies expand website traffic to increase sales, the owners of Axis Creative Group and WebTalentSEO have merged to form Web Talent Marketing, one of the only Lancaster, Pa.-based full-service digital marketing agencies. Web Talent Marketing harnesses the advertising power, cost-efficiencies and metrics of the Internet through a results-driven search marketing menu. Unlike other agencies offering entry-level Internet marketing in conjunction with more traditional advertising and marketing services, Web Talent Marketing’s core business quantifies and tailors web marketing strategies to ensure clients reach larger, more targeted audiences and directly grow sales. A flourishing client base in response to the agency’s combined strength and proven results has already demanded a planned expansion of Web Talent Marketing’s staff and office space and places the company at the leading edge of Lancaster’s emerging technology corridor.

Web Talent Marketing’s Chief Operating Officer Mike Canarelli and Chief Executive Officer Oliver Feakins said the partnership elevates both former companies’ strengths—Axis’s web design and development and WebTalentSEO’s search marketing—to place their Internet marketing agency at the intersection of creativity and innovation. Clients will benefit from a one-stop-shop for progressive web design, development, advertising and search-engine marketing that leverages the Internet’s accountability to maximize the return on web marketing investments and directly contribute to sales.

“Oliver and I love working in the Internet marketing space and are excited about joining forces to offer advanced Internet marketing strategies that are capable of increasing client sales to levels previously unobtainable,” said Canarelli, founder of former Axis Creative Group. “The Internet is a completely scalable model. The fact that we can measure a precise return for our clients’ digital marketing investments is incredible and makes our services much more effective than the traditional, static marketing mediums of yesterday.”

“The fact that Mike and I are both professional e-marketers and entrepreneurs created a natural evolution toward Web Talent Marketing and also allows us to blend our expertise with our clients’ expertise to achieve more for them,” said Feakins, former WebTalent SEO President. “We understand the nature of business—the demands of customer engagement, satisfying budgets and proving return on investments. We propose solutions and ideas that not only center on results, but that are also practical and feasible for our clients’ needs.”

In addition to clever methods backed by proven results, Canarelli’s and Feakins’ broad experience in sales, technology, marketing and business ownership also sets Web Talent Marketing apart from other marketing companies. Canarelli founded Canarelli Design in 2000 and rebranded the company to Axis Creative Group in 2007. Feakins broke away from a successful career in search marketing and social media to form his own company, WebTalentSEO, in 2008.

American Heart Association Hosts First Annual “Go Red Por Tu Corazon” Soccer Tournament April 23 in Lancaster

Lancaster Internet Marketing Firm Web Talent Marketing Sponsoring the Event

Web Talent Marketing Sponsors American Heart Association Soccer TournamentLancaster, PA — Web Talent Marketing, a full-service Internet marketing firm headquartered in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is sponsoring the American Heart Association, Lancaster Division’s first annual Go Red Por Tu Corazon Soccer Tournament that will be held April 23 at Lancaster Community Park.

“Michelle Gonzalez [soccer tournament coordinator] gave us a little pop quiz recently,” said Oliver Feakins, Web Talent Marketing CEO. “She asked us which disease kills the most women per year, heart disease or breast cancer? We all said breast cancer, of course. But we were wrong! It’s heart disease.

“So when she asked us to be a sponsor, we said yes immediately.”

Heart disease, in fact, is the number one killer of women in America today, according to the American Heart Association. Heart disease, along with its relatives stroke and other cardiovascular diseases, kills nearly twice as many women in the U.S. each year as all forms of cancer, including breast cancer.

“Many people think breast cancer kills more people than heart disease and that’s no surprise,” Gonzalez said. “Individual and organizational activists have done a great job of raising awareness of that horrific disease.

“Yet many women aren’t aware that it’s heart disease that they should fear more,” Gonzalez continued. “Which is why the Lancaster division of the AHA is holding this first-annual soccer tournament — to help raise awareness, especially among the Latino community. We’re using ‘Por Tu Corazon,’ Spanish for ‘For Your Heart.’”

The soccer tournament begins at 9 a.m. April 23 at Lancaster Community Park, Akins Avenue, with play continuing until about 4 or 5 p.m. Each team will play at least four games (or more, depending on how many games a team wins). Teams are comprised of 10 members ages 16 and older and play in the “5×5 style,” with five team members playing at any one time (four players and one goalie).

“We’re holding this first ‘Por Tu Corazon’ soccer tourney to help treat, educate and raise funds to fight heart disease in women. It’s going to be a great way to raise awareness and get participants hearts’ pumping!”

The cost to participate is $100 per team before April 1 (or $150 after April 1; registration closes April 15). For more information, contact Gonzalez at (717) 327-7002 or via e-mail at michelle.gored@gmail.com.
